There are 47 prefectures in Japan, 42 prefectures has a technical college for students who want to become a farmer.
Students normally go there after graduating high school.
The colleges are supported by the national or local governments.

I visited one of the colleges, I was impressed there is a place for getting license for tractor.
Under declining new farmers due to declining birthrate and aging population, the colleges is expected to play a important role.
