Japanese people eat bamboo (TAKENOKO).
TAKE = bamboo, NO = ‘s, KO = kid,
TAKE-NO-KO = bamboo’s kid.
We can buy TAKENOKO at stores in spring.
TAKENOKO is not harvested in agricultural fields, but is from bamboo forest.

Cooking TAKENOKO needs time.
We have to boil it for a few hours before cooking. But TAKENOKO is very tasty.
Usually I don’t buy TAKENOKO due to cooking process.
But I will buy it this year to kill time while staying at home!
