Mother’s day in COVID-19 outbreak

May 10th is mother’s day. People give their mothers presents.

Flower especially carnation is the most popular present for mother’s day in Japan. People buy or send presents before or on the day.
But Japanese agriculture ministry asks people not to buy or to send presents around that day to avoid crowds this year in corona outbreak.
The government sets May mother’s month in stead of mother’s day.

Don’t rush to buy a present! You still have 3 weeks.
