Japanese people have “Obon” holiday in mid-August. During “Obon”, it is believed that the spirits of the deceased and ancestors will return to their homes.
Some people decorate horses made of cucumbers and cows made of eggplants for transportation used by those spirits.
People want their ancestors to come fast by houses and to return slow by cows for staying at home as long as possible.
During Obon, many people return to their hometowns and visit graves, but this year many people can’t go to their hometown because of Coronavirus.
Hope the coronavirus will disappear soon.
