Seasonal event- Setsubun on February 2nd this year

I wrote that Setsubun in February 3rd.

Setsubun is usually February 3rd. However, this year the date has changed for the first time in 38 years.

Setsubun in February 4th was in 1984.
Setsubun in February 2nd was in 1897, 124 years ago.

The day of Setsubun changes because of the revolution of the earth.
It takes one year for the earth to go around the sun, but it takes 365.2422 days to go around the sun.

Since it increases by 0.2422 days every year, we adjust by setting a leap year once every four years and increasing it by one day.

The leap year increases by one day, but if you increase it once every four years, the total time will be about 45 minutes shorter than the four laps of the sun.

Due to this small error and the existence of leap years, the day of Setsubun changes.

Next year, February 3rd will be the of Setsubun again.
